What’s Going On at TAG! July 1-16, 2023

Summer is in full swing and we have plenty of things to keep you busy over the next few weeks at The Arts Garage in Port Clinton.

Just a reminder that our latest exhibit “GUILDing the LILY” by the Toledo Area Sculptors Guild will open with a special reception on July 8 at 6pm at TAG. There will be more than 130 sculptures and pieces inside and outside of TAG, so come check it out!

Saturday July 1 – 9am – Glass Windchimes. $40 per adult, Adults only, limited space.

Wednesday July 5 – 10am – Kids Drawing Models. FREE for Ottawa County students, $5 for non-residents.

Thursday July 6 – 9am – Adult Beginner Watercolor Sessions with Nancy Pierce. Cost is $225 for GPCAAC members for six sessions, $260 for non-members. Sessions are July 6, 13, 20 and 27 and August 3 & 10, all at 9am.

Saturday July 8 – 11am - Acrylic Painting Class: Sailboats with Debbie Prue. All skill levels welcome! Cost is $35 per person.

6pm – Opening Reception for “GUILDing the LILY” by Toledo Area Sculptors Guild. Refreshments and appetizers, open to all!

Monday July 10 – 4pm – Glazes and Glazing Techniques with Maggie Beckford. Cost is $65 per adult, adults only.

Tuesday July 11 – 10am – Kids Drawing Model with Dress with Diane Chaplin – FREE to Ottawa County students, $5 for non-residents.

4pm – Make Your Own Slump Molds with Maggie Beckford. Cost is $65 per person, adults only.

Wednesday July 12 – 6pm – Pastels Class with Alice Holly. $20 per person, FREE for Ottawa County students.

Saturday July 15 – 2pm – Kids Pottery: Lori’s Lighthouse Plaque with Jeanette Oleksa. Decorate or glaze a pre-made lighthouse plaque. FREE for Ottawa County students, $25 for non-residents.

Sunday July 16 – 2pm – Pottery: Lori’s Lighthouse Luminaries. Pre-made bisque lighthouse, you paint or glaze to make it your own. Cost is $45 per person, adults only.


The Arts Garage (TAG), home of the Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council, is located in the city’s old maintenance garage at 317 W. Perry Street in Port Clinton, OH.

The Arts Garage is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11am until 4pm and by appointment.

The GPCAArts Council is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2009 to provide the communities of Ottawa County support in fostering a cooperative effort between artists and the public to promote the creative arts in our region.

The GPCAAC delivers interesting programming to the community, including public events that support and drive our local economy. In addition, the organization offers scholarships to our area youth, advocacy on behalf of artists and organizations, and access to arts and culture for all in Ottawa County.
