GoFundMe launched to raise the floor at TAG!

The Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council recently launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise the floors at The Arts Garage (TAG) and we need your help!

Over the last year and a half, TAG has become a vital piece of the Port Clinton and Ottawa County arts scene. With 23 resident artists calling TAG home, events daily and weekly for local artists, authors and organizations, TAG is poised to become a premiere arts hub for northwest Ohio. The GPCAAC Capital Campaign Committee has made it a goal to raise $160,000 to begin Phase 1 of extensive renovations to TAG, located in the city's old garage at 317 W. Perry Street in Port Clinton. Phase 1 of the revitalization of the 1930s-era yellow brick building includes raising the floor several inches for a safe, level floor as well as building three new ADA compliant restroom facilities and more that is needed to make this a world-class arts facility for Ottawa County.

The building could feature:

  • art studios for working artists,

  • concert/theatre area - inside and out,

  • a makers area,

  • a working chef’s kitchen,

  • classrooms,

  • gift shop,

  • office space,

  • building/artist storage,

  • gallery,

  • sculpture garden, and

  • possibly a museum.

The project altogether is estimated to cost more than $1,000,000.

But we need help to start Phase 1.

Here's where you come in: We need help spreading the word about TAG, our vision and our campaign. Please consider donating to our fundraiser, and please share on your social media pages. Here's the link: GoFundMe

Please share with everyone you know, the more eyes the better. As always, the GPCAAC thanks you for your support!
