Glass cutting class at TAG on 3/25!

Don’t pass on this class, it’s all about cutting glass!

The Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council is excited to announce a new glass cutting class at The Arts Garage this spring!

Happening on Saturday March 25 at 9am, this class is open to adults only and is led by the talented Joyce Waltz.

In this class, you will learn how to cut straight and curved lines using thin picture frame glass. After building your confidence, you will be given a pattern. You will make two projects using your new skills!

First you will make a 4” square tangram with straight lines. A tangram is a Chinese geometric puzzle that can be used to make a variety of shapes. This requires you to cut two of each shape.

For the curved line project, you will be making a 6” plate. Joyce will provide a pattern but you will decide which lines you want to use.

Joyce will supply all the necessary tools. However, if you have a glass cutter and running pliers, please let the GPCAAC know so that we can add more people.

Class is $60 per person and spots are very limited, so sign up today. Adults only please.

If there is enough interest we will hold an overflow class later the next day, which will be $55.

Visit www.gpcaac.org and go to the “Classes” tab to buy your ticket!

The Arts Garage, which is home to the Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council, is located in the city’s old maintenance garage at 317 W. Perry Street in Port Clinton, Ohio.
