The Arts Garage (TAG) is a project of the Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council (GPCAAC/GPCAArts Council).  The monies we are currently raising are for the renovations of the building we lease from the City of Port Clinton.  GPCAArts Council has a home address in that building.

The GPCAArts Council is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2009 to provide the communities of Ottawa County support in fostering a cooperative effort between artists and the public to promote the creative arts in our region.

A capital campaign for TAG (The Arts Garage) was launched inn 2021. We are looking at a $1.3 million renovation before the site is ideal for us to use.

While we are using the building at the present time, there are many problems we face almost daily.  For instance we need to:

  • Totally replace the roof (2 stories), restrooms, HVAC and all windows

  • Upgrade Safety & Security systems

  • Repair and renew the floors

  • Rework the building's electrical systems

  • Rehab the second floor to accommodate GPCAAC's office as well as classrooms

  • Add an elevator to the building

  • Make extensive renovations to the exterior, plus landscaping.

Please consider donating to this wonderful cause. We are working hard to make TAG a cultural arts center for the entire county.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Happening soon!  Six windows were measured at he end of July for replacement. Installation is set for summer 2024. We will keep you posted.

At the end of this month we will have a new layout for our exhibits. Thank you Debra Sue Solecki for coming up with this better idea. Not only will traffic flow more easily throughout the building, resident artists' spaces will be seen more clearly.
