Debra Sue Solecki

Debra Sue grew up on the shores of Lake Erie and has always drawn artistic inspiration from the natural environment.  She uses a variety of media to represent her favorite subjects such as; dragonflies, lotus, rocks, mushrooms and wood.  These familiar images are created in unique ways and are repeated in her ongoing series of work.

Debra Sue’s style often tells a story that reveals itself as the viewer spends time exploring the layers in her work.  By layering meaning with subjects or zooming in close to an object, she asks the viewer to stop and think about the beauty they may normally pass by.
